Cleveland Browns standout defensive end Myles Garrett was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday and will miss Sunday's game against the visiting Philadelphia Eagles.
The team told Garrett to stay home on Wednesday when he said he wasn't feeling well.
"This morning the Cleveland Browns were informed that a player has tested positive for COVID-19," the team said in a statement. "Contact tracing has been conducted and the individual has self-isolated. He has not been in the facility all week and zero high-risk contacts have been identified."
The Browns remain scheduled to practice on Friday.
Garrett, 24, was the No. 1 overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft. In nine games this season, he has a league-leading 9.5 sacks and four forced fumbles, which is tied for the NFL lead.
On the season, he has 31 tackles, including seven for loss, and has played 79 percent of the team's snaps on defense.
